Courses and Support

The Durham central advisory team are available to support you in your work with our youngest children in County Durham.

In addition to our courses and regular network meetings we can be contracted to help you to further develop your practice in your setting.  We work across all sectors and can offer wide ranging expertise.

To arrange support contact your head teacher or manager, who should be familiar with the systems to enable you to engage with us.

We are also now able to support practitioners across the country ( for a very modest fee, of course!)  Simply contact using the details on the left and we'll do the rest.

The Training and Research Base provides a great space for Early Years workers and families to come together to have a dialogue about children's learning.

Courses are delivered throughout the year, and always feature a summer Conference.  The Training and Research Base also has excellent technical facilities for the production of documentation - film and images.

Training and Consultancy

We offer a range of training and learning opportunities for children and adults. From C.P.D training such as Motivational Maths, Outdoor Play and consulting children through Talking and Thinking Floorbooks , Forest School and Nature Kindergarten training for adults to coaching in context and centre based visits with children. Above all we hope to share a positive attitude and enthusiasm for experiential learning.
