CREC have finalised their programme of training and events for 2012/2013

CREC have finalised their programme of training and events for 2012/2013 and have some excitings things in the pipeline.

If you're looking to refresh your knowledge in a particular area or study at Post Graduate level, they can help you in achieving your goals.

CREC has continual involvement with curriculum and policy developments and reviews and is at the forefront of research in Early Years, both at national and international level. Professor Chris Pascal has been an adviser on policy at Governament level for many years and was recently involved in the Tickell review. Professor Pascal and Professor Tony Bertram have carried out research to assess the effectiveness of free childcare entitlement to 2 year olds.

Funding to Support Training and Development

We are pleased to advise you that we have been able to secure a limited amount of funding in this financial year to enable early years practitioners to improve their qualifications from level 2 and beyond.  This funding is available to practitioners working in County Durham in an early years or childcare setting within the private, voluntary and independent sectors, including childminders.
